The Universal God Centre -which was inspired by our forefather Abraham, whose tent was open on all sides - welcoming every traveller in need- was initially established by the charity for the community of Shrewsbury in 2019 as a 2,000+ square metre community space in the heart of Shrewsbury (Castle Street), the Centre was created as a place of refuge, connection, and unity.

The Centre included:

​

• A welcoming coffee shop

• A meditation and workshop space for reflection and group support

• A large community hall for charity events, music, and educational programmes

• A peaceful multi-faith prayer room open to people of all races, religions, and backgrounds

Built and sustained through the dedication of trustees, members and volunteers, the Centre became a space where people could gather, reflect, learn, and support one another - particularly during times of uncertainty and need.

Due to the financial pressures of the COVID-19 pandemic, and various other challenges during that time, the Centre was no longer financially sustainable, and it closed on 24th December 2021. However, its vision did not end.

​

Since then, we have continued the mission by developing online content and free wellbeing resources to share the Message of Peace more widely. From 2023–2026, we focused on creating a free online self-development course for teenagers and adults through Nahash Health Community Interest Company, founded in 2024 by trustees Dr Lale Tuncer and Ms JuneMeagher. These resources are freely available via both the Nahash Health and Universal God: Message of Peace websites.

Today, the Universal God Centre continues - as an inner sanctuary within the heart.

​

Our hope is that the sacrifices made in our efforts to bring people together and feel more 'connected' to their 'Higher Purpose' of will inspire others to open their own “tents” to those in need, fostering unity, compassion, and shared humanity. We pray for a future where a Universal God Centre exists in every country, every city, every neighbourhood - and within every heart.
